Around 25 years ago my wife and son were a vigorous mountain bike ride well off the beaten path when they came across an overgrown high mountain pasture. Jen came home excited and took hold of me, exclaiming “I’ve just found the most beautiful spot I’ve ever seen!” A long abandoned cattle grazing area returning to the wild after over a decade of abandonment, the beauty it held could not be ignored. To the North you can even see the Tennessee Border (over 40 miles away!) Fast forward 10 years of persistent persuasion to convince the owner to sell us our dream land, we were eventually able to buy this magical 40 acre patch.
